sneak peek for zach + shanna!
2 CommentsLast night I photographed Zach and Shanna's wedding- something I have been waiting on for a long time, haha! It was just beautiful- and such an awesome testament to the love story that God has written for them. I was so happy to be a part of it- hope you guys have a great time on the honeymoon! Love you!

laynie's senior session!
CommentMy youngest sister, Layne met me halfway this weekend to do her senior session. I can't believe she is already graduating! We had a lot of fun just wandering around and shooting. Here are just some of my faves:

We ended up on our Popsy's farm, where we did some shots of Layne in her prom dress- the scene was complete with a herd of cattle in the background!

Check out the slideshow below to see the rest of the images! Just FYI, I am now offering slideshows as an add-on to a senior session- you will get a DVD version to show off at home and a web version to share online.
something I've been thinking about lately
1 Comment
Every now and then I get a bit overwhelmed with the things I have to do, and with the things I could be doing...and then I am always reminded that it really has nothing to do with me!
I praised God for these words the other day, and I had to post them where I would see them often. By the way, this shot was taken with my beautiful, buttery new 50mm 1.8. I have a serious love affair with this lens.
ARLT @ Ignite
1 CommentARLT played at the Ignite Student Conference here in Lubbock last weekend and it was a blast! We had so much fun and I think the students did as well. They've been asked to come back as a headliner next year and I can't wait to see what God has in store. Here are some images I shot (with my new camera + wide angle lens) during the concert.
huey pro
1 CommentI just got in my new huey pro. What is it? A color calibration tool for my computer screen. The huey measures the ambient light in the room and adjusts to the reflected light on my screen. In other words, it allows me to see the purest and most accurate colors possible- which is so important, considering that I am constantly dealing with different skin tones and lighting environments in my photography.
I took a screenshot of my screen before calibration:
and here it is after:
It is a warmer cast now and I will be able to see a difference in the quality of my prints. Now the huey will measure the light every hour or so and adjust the screen to the changing light environment- pretty cool!
