"I've missed you so much today."

That's what I'll remember from Casey and Kelsey's wedding. Yes, it was beautiful- full of unique details and gorgeous people, but the thing I'll remember most is the genuine, loving connection between Casey and Kelsey. The longer I got to hang around these two, the more I realized that they were both people of the highest quality- and that their love for each other was developed out of a friendship they never wanted to end.

When it was time for their first look, this was the first thing Kelsey said. She'd noticed that Casey had refrained from calling or texting her until that moment- and I think it made their first look extra special. They were finally together- ready to make this commitment!

Their wedding and reception was held at The Legacy and was serviced by some of the best vendors in the area. Here are a few of my favorite images, along with some reflections from Kelsey.

Venue: The Legacy

Event Design: Southern Elegance

Wedding Gown: Brides (Amarillo)

Bridesmaids' Dresses: David's Bridal

Men's Suits: Stafford

Cake: A Wink-and-a-Smile (Post, TX)

Caterer: Bigham's BBQ

Hair: Brooke Toler

Makeup: Bobbi Brown

Programs: Urban Bee

Personal Florals: Petals (Plainview, TX)

Kelsey wore her grandmother's rings and carried her handkerchief, pictured on the left.

"He still hasn't texted me today..."

This was Kelsey realizing she was about to see her future hubby-

Both notes their first look as the most memorable of the day.

Kelsey: So, so very special for us. I loved it! It took the pressure off before the wedding and we got to hangout before for a little bit. It was fun!

Casey: When my bride walked down the aisle I was so excited to see her that I kissed her before I was supposed to.

I really feel that this pear tree blossomed just for them that day-

Going over her vows...

These guys wrote some of the best vows I have ever heard.

The ring bearer lost a tooth at the reception- that means more Tooth Fairy money, right?

Casey's wedding ring is one of the coolest I've ever seen-

Birdseed!

Congratulations you guys! It was truly an honor to photograph your day!

Baby Kapri made her entrance into the world just a few weeks ago- to the delight of her parents and older sister, Chloie, who has been anticipating her before she was even in the womb! She is such a beautiful, peaceful baby who is the perfect addition to this family that I love. We shot this session on a dreary, rainy Saturday morning and it was just so nice to be in the comfort of their home, capturing images that truly reflect where they are in life right now! Here are some of my favorites:

Oh my- how I love this family! We have known the Wrights for a very long time and here recently have had the honor of getting to see them go through the adoption process. Throughout the waiting, the praying, and the setbacks- God has provided the perfect little addition to an already wonderful family. Shawn and I were so excited to meet Miss Hadassah- she fits right in and the excitement on each family member's face was something I won't forget. Here are some images from our very playful session!

Miss Olivia's personality seemed (to me) to be perfectly captured running through the grass in a sundress.

And baby Hadassah- what a beauty!

Good-lookin' guys!

And a pretty Mommy. Shawn may or may not have been doing a silly dance behind me in the shot on the left. :)

Psst- The story of Hadassah (also called Esther) in the Bible is one of my favorites! Click HERE to read it. There is also an amazing movie called "One Night With the King", which is perfect for a girls' night. You can watch the entire movie online at the link!

I can't believe I am writing this post! Alix is like my little brother- we grew up across the street from each other and I cannot believe he is about to graduate. Alix has always been a thoughtful, helpful leader- and he is quite the tennis star as well. I know God has big plans for him. We had a semi-dreary day to shoot but it allowed us the perfect light for a few places I don't always consider with bright sunlight. I really love these images- I hope you do, too!

Alix's initials are actually WAW- Alix is his middle name- so we incorporated this old neon sign.

I'm challenging myself to use my 70-200 lens more on portrait shoots. It's a hefty thing, but always worth it.

When I first met with Jessica, I felt like we were old friends. She was so easygoing and easy to talk to. I am so excited to be a part of their intimate wedding next month! It was pretty much freezing the day of their engagement shoot, so we made the most of it- starting it out at the Arrogant Texan. If you haven't been here- go! It is the cutest little space and offers up all sorts of goodies from candy to ice cream and coffee.

Jessica has got to be one of the nicest people I've ever met. Seriously. And Sterling is quite fun to be around- I enjoyed listening to all of his stories and watching his sense of humor play off of Jessica's. They were such troopers- all of our hands were pink from the cold by the time we were through, and yet I love so many of the images- totally worth it! Here are some of my favorites:
