It takes guts to get married outdoors in Lubbock, Texas. And I am so, so thankful that many of my brides have guts. :) It is SO worth it.

Jon-Michael and Monica were married at the Lubbock Garden and Arts Center. It was the perfect venue- green grass, beautiful flowers blooming all around (perfectly complimented by the bouquets and boutonnieres from Market Street). It was a happy, happy day and somehow the entire day felt very personal and special, well-intentioned, with plenty of time to love on the family and friends that were there to celebrate.

I loved so many of the details at their reception at the Frazier Alumni Pavilion- it was beautiful! Thank you, Jon-Michael and Monica, for having us there to capture it.

When I think back about Megan and Jacob's wedding day, I will remember all the sentimental moments that I witnessed throughout their day. Neither Jacob nor Megan grew up here in Lubbock, but they did meet and get engaged at Texas Tech, and when it came time to plan their big day, they decided on a "destination Lubbock" wedding. :) This meant that they'd be right back where it all began- the Tech campus, and that their friends and families would be traveling with intent to share in their celebration. All of those elements combined created a really special time. It just so happened that Megan's sister is a professional wedding planner, who ensured that everything went perfectly. It really did. The weather was unusually beautiful that January day.

I loved the grey of the dresses the bridesmaids wore, and Megan's dress fit her so perfectly. At the reception, they had a hot chocolate bar and a fire burning in the gorgeous fireplace at the Frazier Alumni Pavilion. The perfect way to do a winter wedding.

Here are some (*cough*, a ton) of my favorites. I am so, so thankful to Kaitin (MOH and wedding planner) and her boss Rhonda of Precisely as Planned for keeping everything running so smoothly. This family also hired many other professionals I love to work alongside with, and that was definitely a factor in how wonderfully this day went!

Ok, I just love these two. Seriously- the more time I spent with them on their wedding day the more I was affirmed of the fact that Kameron and Angela are totally fun, awesome people who have a great circle of family and friends. These two were married at the Frazier Alumni Pavilion on the Texas Tech campus. It was a gorgeous summer day and I could not have had better people to work with. Here are some of my favorites from their day.

Caterer: Top Tier

Venue: Frazier Alumni Pavilion

When you get married at the Frazier Alumni Pavilion or the Merket Alumni Center at Texas Tech, they put an engraved brick with your names on the patio. "Kamgela" was the name a friend gave this couple, so they went with it! Haha!

David and Taylor were married last weekend at First Baptist Church here in Lubbock. It was a beautiful spring day- the perfect day to get married. Everything seemed to go so smoothly- due in part to the awesome friends and family they had around. I have so enjoyed getting to work with these two- they are truly genuine people and a lot of fun, too. I'm blessed to have had the opportunity to capture their big day.

Ceremony: First Baptist Church Lubbock

Reception: Frazier Alumni Pavilion

Hair: Tandy at Davidson-Taylor

Makeup: The Radiant Lily

Flowers + Decor: College Flowers

Reception Band: Wes Nixon Band

I love in-between moments like this.

Quite possibly my favorite wedding party pic of all time. They totally worked it for me!

College Flowers did an outstanding job at the Frazier Alumni Pavilion. I loved the saturated pinks and oranges, the decorative lighting, and the red chandeliers.

David is the drummer for the Hogg Maulies, who made a cameo appearance at the reception. A friend (and chocolatier) of the family made this custom chocolate sculpture for them.

Hee hee!

Congratulations you two! Hope your honeymoon was wonderful!
