My friend Alex (who is also a wedding photographer) posted a little blog on the subject of "good" fights in marriage. Now that Shawn and I are working on our 7th year, I can agree that this is a great subject for newlyweds, and marriage-altering skill to learn.

In my experience, having seen at least a hundred marriages begin, I can vouch for the negative effect our "perfectionist" culture has put on relationships. Thankfully, I am lucky that the vast majority of couples I get to work for are ones who have a realistic, genuine love for the other person- flaws and all. :)
