I was so excited to photograph this adorable session on the most gorgeous November day. The day before was a giant foggy cloud, and the day of our shoot, not a cloud in the sky! Here are a few of my favorites:

Ricky and Amanda were so much fun to watch on their wedding day. Amanda had planned it perfectly from the perfect venue (McPherson Cellars), to the fall decor and the flower girls' skirts. The best part, though, was watching the bride and groom together. Once they saw each other for the first time, it was as if every other thing didn't matter. They were intent on enjoying each other, their friends and family, and getting married. It was a beautiful ceremony and a fun-filled reception. Here are a few of my favorites!
This was the first wedding I've shot where the guests all stood up and clapped for the bride and groom as they walked back down the aisle. Loved it!
The fall foliage have been so beautiful this year- my favorite has definitely been the warm yellow leaves. Put that with my baby boy, and I'm taking pictures.
It's high-time for a contest on this little blog, seeing as I haven't had one in over a year!
So here are the details:
Every Mom/Aunt/Grandmother in my family brings something yummy to Thanksgiving. They all have their staples- from corn casserole to stuffing and deviled eggs.
This year, since I'm now a Mom as well, I figure it's about time for me to contribute.
I know I'll be making my favorite pumpkin cinnamon rolls, but I'm also needing a savory dish.
So, share your favorite Thanksgiving recipe in the comments below!
The winner will be receiving a 15.00 iTunes gift card- might I suggest you purchase my favorite Christmas album ever?
Contest ends Wednesday at noon!
(UPDATE!)
Annnnnnndddd.....our winner is Hope with Emeril Lagasse's Corn Pudding!
All of these sound so yummy- I will definitely be trying them all! After reading the recipies to my spicy-food loving husband, he thought this recipe sounded like the best.
Hope, send me an email with your mailing address lissa.anglin @ me.com!
I have loved getting to see familiar faces and meet some new ones while I shoot Mini-Sessions this year. Here are a few more from some recent sessions:
Whew! I dove in head first for Mini-Sessions in Amarillo on the 6th. 8 awesome families met me in the park and we had a blast. It was a long day, but a very rewarding one. I left realizing just how blessed I am by my clients- and I hope that the images I capture for them bless them right back! Here are some images that caught my eye browsing through:
Love, love, love these guys. I got to do a previous session with them for their Save the Date cards, and I was so looking forward to their Engagement Session. Of course, the day of their shoot, the West Texas winds decided to blow- hard- leaving us with a brown sky and the need for some windblock. Thankfully, Alan + Emerald trusted me and I just love the images we got! They'll be getting married in Cancun next month and I'm so excited for them!
Guess what day they are getting married? :)
This is their puppy, Scout, who was so well behaved!
These two are absolutely perfect for each other. They met during their days at Vernon College- he was playing baseball and she was on the softball team. A couple of years later, they ended up at Texas Tech, and Casi moved in with my little sister, Layne. She has been my intern for the past few months and such a blessing to us! Casi is one of those people you can just count on. She's very fun, faithful and hardworking, and from what I know of Jordan he is the same way. Can't wait to see them get married next August!
P.S. Casi, you are gorgeous!
The photo on the right is proof I am hilarious...or that Jordan and Casi are really nice to laugh at my awkwardness...
I could tell that Gina would be a lot of fun just reading her emails. She seemed super nice and excited about her session- which makes me excited too! We had a great time documenting the close of a season of her life. She'll be graduating from Texas Tech University next month! Check out this gorgeous girl:

I'm always so excited when Wendy contacts me to set up a family photoshoot. I've been honored to photograph these guys every year for a while now, and it has been so much fun to watch Dane and Zack grow. They are totally ALL BOY and it makes me excited for our little one. Greg and Wendy are great parents. I had a lot of favorites from our session- here are a few!
We took Knox for his first visit to the pumpkin patch a couple of weeks ago. He is growing so fast! Just before leaving to get there, we realized he had outgrown all his shoes. So here is our baby, almost 10 months old, happy, and shoeless. (Don't worry, we went shoe shopping after!)
