Ya'll, this is Taylor. She's gorgeous, smart, and has a plan for her future. Taylor is confident and comfortable with herself- unafraid to pose next to a cool old car we saw in a questionable alleyway...she's basically who I wish I would have been as a senior in high school :). I'm so glad she drove from Amarillo to let me shoot her senior portraits. Taylor, you are awesome, and congrats!

I loved so many things about this wedding- how the historic, stately Baker Building transformed into this cozy, elegant space on a rainy day in October, how gorgeous those plums and purples from the bridesmaids' dresses and florals were- how incredibly thoughtful and kind and unselfish TJ and Stephanie were on their wedding day. It was such a pleasure to photograph this wedding. I had more than a few favorites- can't get over that rich combination of navy and gold! I hope you are ready! Thanks so much to the incredible vendors who made all the pretty I got to photograph.

Shawn and I were so honored to shoot Trevor and Megan's wedding last month. These two are the kind of people you need to know. They are fun, easygoing, completely dependable and caring- and just straight up nice. Plus, they love Jesus and each other. Their wedding day was full of quirks and funny moments, which made it fun for everyone (including their photographers!)- and we loved getting to photograph it all. Here are some of my favorite images!

And here's this one, just because we love you guys...

I felt so honored to get to photograph Evan and Winmarie's wedding day. When I met with them last year, I could tell that hiring me had been something they really thought over and did with intention- which totally makes me want to work my tail off! It was so much fun to get to see them start their marriage. The Legacy was a perfect venue, as always, and many traveled from far away to see them say their vows. Thanks so much for having us, you guys! Congrats!

chris + bethany • lubbock, tx

Chris and Bethany are some of our dear friends with whom we've had the privilege lege of going through many stages of life together. I grew up across the street from Bethany, lived in neighboring apartment complexes just after Shawn and I got married, and then she married Chris, who played in a band with Shawn. I am so thankful that we still get to do life with them. These two are truly servant-hearted and just plain cool.

I hadn't photographed them in SEVEN years (wow!)- since their wedding- so it was time for some updated photos that included Max, their bulldog, and Chris's trucks- another large part of their lives. I love shooting with these two because they are no-fuss and always up for adventures. BB- you only get prettier. Love you guys!

Couples like Randall + Lenzi are why I love my job. These two can major on the majors and still do it with style and intention. Their wedding day was full of so many wonderful elements- an awesome venue that totally fits their vibe, a great playlist, old books, board games, wine (duh!), and gorgeous florals. Top that off with popcorn, bundt cakes and great friends and family, and you've got a great time.

These two wanted an intimate ceremony, so they invited their guests to wait inside while they said their vows in the courtyard at McPherson Cellars. Not only was it gorgeous outside, but so special- especially when I realized that Shawn and I were essentially the only other people there, with the exception of the judge (who is the father of one of Randall's childhood friends), and sweet Estelle, Randall's daughter. I could photograph that little girl all. day. long. She's precious.

Thank you both for trusting us with your wedding day images- we loved capturing your new beginning!

Suit: Knot Standard

Bride's Jewelry: Kate Spade, Laura & Lilly, Pandora, Chloe + Isabelle

Time goes so fast. Last week I realized Liv was working on crawling and I had not yet photographed her even holding her head up. So, miraculously, everyone was in real clothing...and I took a few quick photos of the kids.

This girl...6 months old in just a few days. Her expressions always crack me up. They are just so full of life and excitement. I feel like she has such a fun-loving personality already.

Thank goodness for headbands. Just like her mommy, she doesn't have much hair. It's there, but you can hardly see it, haha- which has made me more adamant about getting something on her head.

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed the bump on the top of Liv's head. It's something she was born with, called a hemangioma. Apparently, they are pretty common- especially in girls. It was tiny in size when she was born but has grown in size and height in the months since. Hemangiomas tend to shrink away on their own eventually (they usually start shrinking around 1 year of age). There are says we think it's shrinking, and days it looks like it's growing- which is crazy, because it can- it is literally a collection of extra blood vessels.

I really don't mind talking about it at all- sometimes it seems people are afraid to ask- in fact, it's been the funniest to see kids react to it. Knox calls it her "polka dot" or her birthmark. It's totally touchable, and yes, it will bleed just like any other part of skin if touched, but so far it has really been a non-issue.

Poor Knox. Already mildly annoyed at posing with his sister, who loves him oh-so-much.

This kid. If it were possible for me to love him more since having Liv, I do. On the hard days, he's been my helper, giver of hugs, forgiver of a distracted mommy, an excellent cartoon-watcher, and just so smart.

Goodness I love these babes. So different. So amazing to see life through their eyes- I hope I get to for the rest of my life!
