little miss chloie

Last weekend I got to visit little Chloie's house for an in-home photoshoot. You might remember seeing Jessica's maternity shoot last August:

Since then, Chloie has arrived! She's not quite a newborn anymore, but such a little doll. It was great to get to set up in their home- Chloie seemed very comfortable the entire shoot, although she did let us know when our time was up, haha! Here are a few of my favorites:

Nothing like a cute baby bum:

Jessica was so organized! She had fresh gerber daises for the shoot.

First family portrait:

To me this look says, "Mother, I'm warning you..."

So curious...

Daddy is hilarious!

Thanks guys for all the hard work you did behind the camera- those smiles are definitely worth it! (Angel, you do deserve a Bahama Bucks).

sean & shea

Sean & Shea are seniors from Seminole, and we had a great time shooting Saturday morning (talk about alliteration...try to read that sentence out loud!). We went out to some of my favorite spots and in between shots we saw our share of Lubbock wildlife...a pheasant and a dead owl, haha! These twins are headed to Houston for the state livestock show soon, so good luck guys! Thanks for a great photoshoot!

My friend Chris showed me this awesome web radio site this morning. Musicovery allows you to specify your playlist by mood, genre, or decade! Once you set your filters it brings up a huge web of music- you can also choose to add songs to your favorites or ban them and never hear them again. There is a huge variety of music and the stream has been very consistent.

For those of you who might not have a clue as to what I am talking about, I'll explain. I am at my computer for quite a few hours every day, editing or emailing or designing albums or blogging (haha), and the soundtrack to my work has become more and more key to my productivity. If I log onto an internet radio station like this one, I get a totally customized playlist and, because I'm not running yet another program on my computer, it saves some precious computer memory and therefore- time.

If you haven't experienced an online radio station yet, go check out Musicovery!

new lights!

I've got a new mobile lighting setup! It's an extremely simple set-up process and produces some great light as well. Plus, it really expands my options for photoshoots-- I can be in a junkyard and have a professional studio...that is unless I like the junkyard better. :)

When I finally received the last piece to the puzzle in the mail the other day I couldn't resist testing them out. So, I grabbed the closest models possible (i.e. my dog and myself), haha. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by quality of light I was getting.

This one's going on the Myspace, haha!

I used my new setup for a shoot I had today with a precious baby girl, and I can't wait to give you a sneak peek of those images- be watching, Jessica! :)

shanna's bridal

While I wait for a few things to process before I begin designing her album, I thought I'd share a few of Shanna's bridal images. We shot these in a cold, dirty room - though you'd never know it! The light in the room was so gorgeous- it really changed the way I imagined a perfect photography studio (you know, princesses dream of castles...photographers dream of studios, haha). Shanna looked gorgeous as always!

UPDATE: We only have ONE more spot for the Senior Special available! If you are interested please contact me ASAP! Thanks!

Almost every day I hear someone comment about something they saw on my blog. I LOVE that you guys are coming around! But I wouldn't know it, because I never see any comments. It's not so tough to do- you just click the link below each blog, type in what you have to say, and you're done!

I understand that this whole commenting thing may be new to some of you new bloggers, so I decided to put up a poll just to get you warmed up. :)

You only have 5 days to complete this one- so all you blog readers show me that you're out there!

weekend update

lissa-anglin2 Comments

This weekend the boys and Shanna and I were in Frisco, TX. We spent time at a Disciple Now and had a great time hanging out, shopping (Ikea!) and feeding our coffee habit. We even had a surprise visit from Kurht's parents!

We were about to head home, when we stopped to eat...and guess who we ran into?

That's Michael Irvin. I don't think I've seen the boys get so silly in a LONG time. (Look at Shawn! He reverted back to that 11 year old on a Sunday afternoon in front of the TV.) He was really kind and even stopped to give us his thoughts on the Christian music industry, and how it is evolving. Pretty cool!

megan • senior

Here's Megan, a senior from Fritch. We shot her senior session last week and had a great time. During our shoot her aunt said that she was "gorgeous inside and out" and I totally agree. Megan chose some sentimental places to shoot at- which is such a great idea. She even brought along her dog, Milo! Thanks so much for a great session!

A little lens flare + texture...
Haha, we realized that to get Milo's attention, all you had to do was shout "Ham!"

In front of her grandfather's shed...
