I'm doing it again...posting too many images. I'm just having a hard time being decisive lately. So you guys will just have to put up with MORE pictures. :)

This wedding was just beautiful- for so may reasons. Taylor and Trudy were married at Galloway United Methodist Church in Jackson, Mississippi in May. It was such a classic, elegant event- full of fun people and centered in Christ. I LOVE a good Southern wedding. Taylor and Trudy have been so fabulous to work with- we've already got their album ordered, and I can't wait to see it!

The guys spent the night before/morning of at Kearney Park Farms skeet shooting and lounging. It was beautiful out there.

The ladies spent their morning at the historic King Edward Hotel, getting their makeup done by Amy Head of Amy Head Cosmetics.

Loved her Marisa wedding gown.

The florals from Lesley Frascogna at Tulip Floral completed the entire look and style of the wedding. I couldn't get enough of these peonies!

The men were dressed in BCBG suits from Great Scott in Jackson, which Trudy's Stepfather owns. It was so neat to have him on hand, making sure they all looked their best.

I had a moment when I realized there was a gorgeous plantation-style home right across the street from the church. I want to live there. And shoot there. All the time.

Isn't Trudy just gorgeous? I loved her classic, elegant style. Her hair was done by Justin McPherson, of Willam Wallace Salons.

Taylor's father married them, which made for a very special message and ceremony.

The reception was at the King Edward Hotel. Cake by Dani Turk, For Heavens Cakes.

I have NO idea what is going on here, but I love it!

Notice the tennis shoes, in true Trudy fashion.

The bride + groom had their meal away from their guests, which is something I totally recommend. You will need to eat, and it's a nice moment for a new bride and groom.

Then a lot of great dancing ensued. They hired Meet the Press for the reception band, and they were awesome!

Taylor + Trudy- thanks so much for having Shanna and I out to Jackson! We loved getting to be there and capture your big day. You've both been so wonderful through the whole process- congratulations!

Wow, these people are good looking...

Kuhrt and Lindsey were married on a gorgeous day at the Fulford Barn in Brownfield, Texas. When Lindsey was deciding on a venue for her wedding, I was praying and not-so-subtly suggesting that she select an outdoor location. I LOVE outdoor weddings, and they always make for beautiful photographs...so I'm a little partial. :) Sure enough, it was beautiful- I heard so many people say it didn't feel like West Texas!

Besides being my friends, these two were a fantastic bride and groom. Easygoing, excited to finally be married, and ready to enjoy the company of their friends and families on their big day. They are really perfect for each other.

Without further ado, some pictures! Lindsey has been very patient with me, so I have quite a few to show!

The details were so much fun- lots of color, buttons, and sentiment.

Lindsey, you're so pretty! I loved the braid in her hair.

The band recently bought a new bus, so it was quite a convenient place for the guys to chill out before the ceremony.

While we were shooting the above image, we got some visitors along the road...

We joked that Kuhrt moved to "lead singer" position since he was the groom and all... :)

Kuhrt + Lindsey chose to do a first look. It was such a special moment- they were both sooo excited! One of the many things I love about seeing each other before the ceremony is that you actually get TWO "first looks". Both come with their own set of anticipation and emotion- and I love getting to capture both of those moments!

Their shoes were very good representations of their personalities! Lindsey had a friend handpaint her TOMs.

I had to throw a little Asian influence in their portraits since Lindsey and I have traveled there twice together!

Miss Cayla was LOVING her flower girl outfit.

Brogan was a precious little ring bearer.

This was their guestbook. Each guest write them a note and hung it on the tree.

Don't you love the paper flowers on her cake? I got to help with that little project and it was so much fun!

Isn't the colored confetti so much fun?

Congrats you guys! I am so blessed to call you friends and family in Christ!

I met with Taleigh and her Mom early one morning just after I found out I was pregnant. We still were keeping it a secret, but I was already doing my best to drastically decrease my caffeine intake- so no coffee that morning. Let me just say, I am NOT a morning person. I was probably about as exciting as a bump on a log. Somehow, though, Taleigh trusted me and was still able to see my vision and passion for wedding photography, and I was so excited when she decided to book me!
I had already been looking forward to Lance + Taleigh's session, but when Lance mentioned his adoration for Chuck Norris in their Engagement Questionnaire, I knew it would be good, and it was! We had some hot weather and fantastic light. Can't wait for their wedding at the newly remodeled Merket Alumni Center!

It is always such an honor to photograph a wedding when I know the story behind it. I've decided that it's all the parts leading up to the wedding that truly make the wedding day special...and in this case, I got to have some insight on Lana's life up to this very big day.

I know that Lana was picky when it came to guys- and for good reason. She didn't want to waste time! She had other things to do- and God has used her to impact so many lives through teaching, leading children's programs and friendships. Then Justin came along- and only made her more capable of doing the things she loves! They are such a beautiful picture of patience, purity, and love. One of the best things about getting to hang out with them is watching them laugh together. You can tell they truly enjoy each other's company.

Here are some of my favorites from their wedding. It was a day full of tradition, family, and sweet memories...and SONIC! Congrats you guys!

Lana's grandmother sewed a ring into her dress that has been in her family for four generations.

Love all of these girls!

Did someone say "CANDY BAR"?!?! I'm no going to lie, I filled a bag to the brim!

One reason this was a unique Mother-Son dance: the song! Just at least listen to the chorus. It's hilarious and awesome.

This is not the most incredible image in the world, but this is a perfect example of how Lana and Justin are constantly having fun together.

Justin is a big candy-lover, so in lieu of a cake he went for a piñata! So much fun!

Oh, pretty Lana! Shanna and I went down to Houston just a few weeks before Lana's wedding to shoot her bridal session. Let me tell you, it was HOT- but Lana looked so gorgeous, and we had such a great time getting to all hang out again. I just love the images from her session. Lana is definitely beautiful inside and out- those who know her will agree!

Last weekend I made the scenic drive to meet the Poer family at their house outside of Gruver. It was a gorgeous morning and such a fun photoshoot filled with family, dogs, horses, and cute little girls! I can imagine that growing up out there is pretty awesome- lots of land to run and play on, places to explore, animals to tend to and play with. As with all of my family photoshoots, I left in amazement of the beautiful chaos that is family- how everyone goes everywhere at once, but still seems to work together. Thanks for a great morning, you guys!

James and Courtney were married at Second Baptist Church in Amarillo on June 5th. These two have dated for quite a while- since their school days- so this event was a long-awaited one! Courtney has such a fun and bold style, and was able to incorporate it into every aspect of the day. She literally made all of the decor featured at the ceremony and reception- pretty incredible! James and Courtney opted for a first look which made the day run so smoothly. They both seemed to ease each other's nerves as they waited with excitement to finally be married. I loved, loved, loved the floral arrangements that Freeman's put together. Here are some of my faves from the day!

Courtney's Grandfather married them in the same church he pastored for several decades. Pretty special.
