Taylor is actually a senior from Borger who wrote me a few months ago and specifically requested a session during the winter season. I was pumped. I love it when my clients want to leave with something different- that's really a goal of mine during every photoshoot-- that we create something completely unique to that person, location + time.

Anyway, she totally ROCKED it. Take a look!

For those of you who follow me on twitter, you know I mentioned lighting a senior photoshoot with my car headlights! Here are those images:

Taylor is going to TTU next year! Yay! Go TECH!

Michelle and Edgar's wedding was on a gorgeous fall day at First United Methodist Church in Plainview. I have always loved the architecture of this church, and it was the perfect background for the events of the day.

I apparently have lost my skill to keep blog posts short, but I just loved so many of the images from this wedding...so for this post you get more pictures, less talk. (Which you'd probably prefer anyway.) :)

Stoic. Love it.

Their First Glance could have been my favorite ever. The light was so fantastic outside, and Michelle and Edgar's reactions to seeing each other made for some beautifully romantic images.

A gorgeous sunset right before the ceremony!

Just in case this image doesn't explain it-- yes. They had a fun group.

Thanks so much you two! You were an absolute pleasure to work with!

Ok, so Rachel is a ton of fun. She and her mother came in from Littlefield, TX for her session and by the time we were finished I wanted to hop in with them and take a road trip!

Rachel totally worked it for the camera. This includes but is not limited to: bearing the West Texas wind, giving me "real" fake laughs, and standing on a rolling tree stump in heels just to get the PERFECT image.

She told me that she'd decided last year that I would do her senior photoshoot. How awesome! I hope to see more rockstars like Rachel this year. :)

Sometimes really crazy wind can make a really pretty picture.

This would be that standing-on-a-tree-stump-in-heels picture.

This would technically be my third time to get to photography baby Kora, if you count the first time while she was still in the womb, and her newborn session. Steven and Danielle drove down to meet me in Plainview for another Mini Session this year! I absolutely love getting to shoot with them- just watching them all interact is such a treasure. Steven and Danielle have this ability to quietly serve each other and their daughter with such love and gentleness.

Little Kora Belle is as cute as ever- the first time I saw her I thought I would die over those lips, but now I just love her cheeks! Enjoy these favorites!

Fun with the crazy lens!

I jokingly thought about titling this post "Why you don't have to wait until spring for great pictures", but I decided not to, since that was probably only funny to me. :) I get a lot of people wanting to wait until spring or summer for pictures, and while the temperature is higher then, there is beauty in every season-- and you won't find color like this in May!

Now, Marcus and Lacey-

I photographed Lacey's sister's wedding last January, and when I saw these two I secretly hoped I would get to shoot theirs as well. Lacey did catch the bouquet that night. So when she contacted me, I was so excited!

We had a great time at their engagement shoot. Shanna came along and shot as well, and I have to say that some of the images she got made me totally jealous, haha! She can really hold her own and I'm so glad I have her around.

These two were absolutely adorable. Lacey is simply gorgeous and Marcus had us laughing the whole time. I hope you can see the fun we had in these images.

These images are some of the favorites I've shot in a while! Heather and Murry are some of my close friends and so I had the advantage of knowing their personalities and style more extensively. (Side note: I LOVE to hear about what you like! It really gives me direction...on the other hand, I LOVE to have complete freedom, so if you don't know what you like, that's ok too!)

These two are getting married in July and I must say that they totally rocked this session! I had them meet me at 9:00 a.m., and looking warm and in love on a November morning isn't the easiest task.

I'm so blessed to get to know you guys and to photograph you!

Get it? H&M?

This typewriter was one of the first things Heather got for the wedding (thank you Becky Dietz!). It was the perfect color. Guests will use it to sign in!

Just thought I'd share this soundbyte from Meer Music- the producer of Fame Games. (It is run by Simon Cowell's brother, Tony Cowell.) Apparently, they have won the past couple of weeks for top song! If you've got a minute, take a listen to their reviews!

You'll have to click on the image below and then click "Listen" to hear the show. They come on after a couple of minutes.

You can also VOTE HERE for their songs! It's really quick and easy!

I just got back from Photo Biz Boot Camp in Austin! It was an intense few days, but I've never been to a workshop more worth my time and money. Liana is so wonderful! She took the time to listen to each one of our situations, push us as business owners, and reassure our dreams. I so enjoyed my time with the other photographers there- Hannah Foley, Eileen Broderick, Natasja Vega, and Alina Prax

We took a break from number-crunching yesterday to do a few headshots of each other. Here are some of mine.

Natasja.

Eileen.

Alina.

This is what it looks like to have great cheekbones. :)

Love the colors here...and of course Natasja.

Yes, her eyes are really this color. I did not touch them!

We forced Liana to let us photograph her! Ha!

My fave.

Hannah had to fly out early yesterday so she didn't make the group pic- but I'm SO glad she came with me! Love you Hannah! You're brilliant!

Over the course of the workshop I realized that I need to refine my blogging a bit. I want to spend more time focusing on the things that truly interest me and my blog readers, instead of pushing out bulk-loads of information, hoping to find someone that is interested! So you may notice a few changes here and there...ultimately I want to create a place where you blog-readers can find all sorts of great, inspiring stuff, and share it yourselves!

A while back, I stumbled upon a podcast by Kelly, and was convinced that this was something I had to try. I know many of you may not be interested in my grocery deals, but it's not only shown me how to better use my resources, but to be a better giver. Here's Kelly's story:

I have been loving this beautiful weather lately...which I'm sad may be coming to an end this week. The Popchokes got in on some of it during our session last week and I had the best time with them. I photographed Lauren and Emily's senior portraits, and I finally got to meet the whole gang!

I feel like a professional spectator sometimes. I spend much of my time just watching people interact, and I really enjoy getting to see how different families operate...let me tell you, these guys are FUN!

Apparently someone knew we would be at this wall...they left us a diagram. :)
