I don't usually get to post bridal images, but this lady got married last weekend, so I can share my favorites with you all!

Cassie is such a naturally gorgeous bride. She chose a dress that perfectly fit her personality, and went without shoes- even down the aisle. Her bridal session was exactly what it should be- fun, comfortable, and a reflection of her own beauty and attitude. Here are a few of my faves!

I've been working on a few images from a recent model shoot. These days, I've steered away from overly-processed images- trying to focus on just a pure, high quality image that really communicates. But these had such an Anthropologie feel I wanted to play around. Your thoughts? Too much?

Seriously- I want some DETAILED feedback. Which type of image would you rather receive?

(By the way, isn't my model, Esmerelda, just stunning? More to come from this shoot.)

My family has been planning a vacation to Puerto Rico for some time now. Some of the students my parents have become involved with thru the Adopt-A-Student program at their church are from Puerto Rico, and so it was a great reason to go! We had an awesome time together. Lauren just recently graduated from Baylor with her degree in Fashion Design, and Layne completed her first year at A&M with a 4.0! So this trip was also in celebration of their hard work.

I think the thing I enjoyed most about the island was A) getting to spend some rare time with my fam, B) the gorgeous colors/scenery, and C) the people! Virtually everyone we met was extremely helpful and courteous. I think I could adjust to island life...

Here are a few (ok, a lot) of pictures I pulled from my camera. I took my point and shoot down to the beach, where it got sand in the lens...so here's to hoping I can retreive the images from it soon.

This was the view from our condo. (Not bad, eh?) My dad found the listing on vrbo.com, and I highly recommend the site!

Sometimes, I would lose Shawn, and he was always found out on the deck.

The first day, we visited a friend's house in Ponce, and her family made us some deliecious Puerto Rican food. These bananas were growing in their backyard! They also had a serious herb garden.

Layne and their dog, Pulga. "Pulga" means tick or flea- perfect- he was tiny!

Ponce has a huge highway entrance that spells out "Ponce". Here we are in the letter C!

We walked around downtown Ponce for the rest of the afternoon. There is a beautiful Catholic church there that was just about to gather for mass.

We went out to the pier, and there were pelicans everywhere. I have to admit, they freaked me out!

Here are some from Old San Juan.

Shawn and I took the brunt of the wide-angle-ness in this one.

Layne had the impulse to fly a kite outside the El Morro Fort. It was about to rain and being so close to the beach there was plenty of wind, so she and Shawn got the job done. Can you see the tiny kite in the background?

There is so much more I could share with you! We went zip-lining through the rainforest and kayaked in glowing water, and I also lost a diamond in my wedding ring (which will get replaced). It was an awesome trip though!

Later today I'll be posting new pictures of the puppies- they are getting so big! So be sure to check out the SCOTTIE PAGE for those images. They're getting closer to 8 weeks, when they can be sold, and we've started taking deposits. Let me know if you are interested or would like to come by and see them!

Steven and Danielle had me out to their beautiful home in Canyon to photograph their new arrival last week! I got to photograph this little one before we even knew what she looked like, not too long ago. Kora (besides having the coolest name and some great style already) is a precious baby. It was amazing for me to watch her recognize her parents and become instantly comforted by their presence.

I really enjoy photographing new ones in their own environment. It takes away the stress of transporting the baby (for parents and children), and I get a chance to document their life as it is. Here are a few of my favorites.

Did I mention Danielle made this quilt, along with the linens in the crib? She did a great job!

Love. those. lips.

Her hands were active the entire session. I love this. Just taking a simple nap.

It seems I have an obsession with hands lately...but can you blame me?

A gorgeous little family.

Nathan and Courtney will be getting married this July and I am so excited to photograph their wedding. Besides being super cool and loving things like coffee and good music, they love the Lord. We planned a morning Engagement session after having to cancel because of wind (only in West Texas). Since they'd told me they're typically found having coffee, we began at a local coffee shop where we could chat a bit and get a little caffeine!

Their love for each other is evident- you can see it in these images. Capturing each unique couple is so important to me, and when I see two personalities combined like this I'm reminded why I do what I do!

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is one hot couple.

They brought along some Blow Pops for a mid-morning snack. :)

Only these guys could look this good with suckers in their mouths...

I have photographed The Cortez Family ever since little Chloie was in the womb! These guys are such a fun family and I was so into the idea that Jessica came up with for this photoshoot. They are bulding a new house, and she wanted me to capture them playing on the build site. So, one morning we headed out there and had a great time! I'm sure the construction workers standing by thought we were crazy- but now they have some special photographs with sentimental value...and once their house is built, they'll have these photographs to display inside.

P.S. I actually made Chloie's little scarf...proof I can start a knitting project AND finish it. :)

I love these messy curls!

If the feet on the left don't tip you off, Jessica is a hairstylist- and a fabulous one at that. Give her a call at Kadiza.

These guys will also be welcoming another member into the family very soon- a canine, that is! They'll be taking home our little black male Scottie dog as soon as he's old enough. Chloie is pretty excited!

Thanks so much you guys- you're the best!

While I was down in Waco for my sister's Style Show a couple weekends ago, Caleb's Mom had me grab a few quick shots of her son who is graduating in just a few days!

The Baylor campus is beautiful, so we had no problem finding a good location. Caleb did a great job, and he's not the only one graduating this semester- you may remember his sister's photoshoot I did just a while back.

Lizzie was the last senior of '09 that I had the pleasure of photographing. She is from my hometown, and I was so excited when she wrote my to say she wanted to set up a session! This girl is gorgeous inside and out, and I can't wait to see where God takes her.

I'm baaack! And I have several blog posts lined up for today...so check back!

This is Danel and Callie. We met for their engagement session last week and I really enjoyed getting to know them as a couple. I met Callie at Wayland, and when we moved to Lubbock, we discovered we were living in the same apartment complex! We've both since moved, but I'm so glad I got to catch up with her. These two are perfect for each other. The thing I love most about these images has to be Callie's smile! It's infectious. Thanks so much for coming down you guys- congratulations!

We began the session at the park where Daniel proposed. I love incorporating special details into the shoot- so if you're planning an engagement session, please fill me in!
