...but I won't be back in my home office till Wednesday. This doesn't mean I'm not at work! I've been traveling...a lot. When I get back to Lubbock on Tuesday night I will have traveled exactly 6,244 miles in the past two weeks- and I will have LOTS to show you, including a beautiful southern Mississippi wedding, a fun Kansas City wedding where the rain clouds couldn't stop us from getting some awesome images, a gorgeous bridal, an cute engagement, and a really adorable kiddo.

I just wrapped up a great wedding here in Kansas City, and Shanna and I are headed out to the Escalate Conference in Newport Beach, CA tomorrow after our morning shoot. I am pumped for some photo inspiration, but more than anything, I am really excited for some time with my cousins, some Sprinkles, some In-N-Out, and some time to take a breather!

I loved meeting Julie and her parents. They are celebrating a big accomplishment- Julie is graduating with her doctorate this month! She's worked so hard to get to this point, and I loved that she chose to do a photoshoot to commemorate it. We shot a few images with her parents, and then strolled around the Tech campus to capture her last days as a student here. Thanks for a great shoot Julie!

LOVE her shoes!

Oh, I just love this sweet little girl (and her parents!). I've been honored to photograph Kora several times during her first year of life and this session was just as much fun as the others have been! Kora has the most precious, happy disposition- if you don't believe me- know she was getting over an ear infection when we did our shoot and she still smiled so much! Here are some of my favorites. Happy Birthday Kora!

I love all of her expressions!

My sister Layne made us some adorable signs that matched perfectly!

I knew from the get-go that this would be a fun session. Leslie's up-for-anything personality and constant laughter are the perfect ingredients to making the pictures I love to make! This girl is not only an educated event designer, she is also pretty adventurous! She'll be living in New Zealand pretty soon- which makes me totally jealous. Thanks so much for a great session, Leslie- and congrats on your graduation!

I couldn't resist the primary-color combo when we came across this construction work site. Fortunately or unfortunately, Leslie's "animal magnetism" was at work as well. It made for some hilarious moments.

Kathryn came in from Post last week to have me shoot her senior pictures. It was such a smooth photoshoot! This girl is super relaxed and fun to talk to. She has a big interest in music, so of course we had a lot to talk about. She'll be heading to Evangel University in the fall, and I wish her the best!

Keegan and Blair met on their way to a freshman retreat during their first week of college. Years later, he proposed to her at the same spot where they'd first laid eyes on each other- and she said yes! These two are so much fun to be around and completely perfect for each other. We shot on a very windy day, but I hardly noticed because I was enjoying them! HEre are some of my favorites from their session-

Guess what they rode in to that retreat? A yellow school bus, of course!

We were shooting near First United Methodist Church when a groundskeeper asked us if we'd like to go inside for some pictures. It was a welcome escape from that wind! We found a staircase that had some pretty light streaming in and stayed there awhile...

Abey (short for Abraham) and Rosa came in from Seminole on a windy Saturday morning for their engagement photoshoot. Though we had to be patient with the wind, the sunlight was beautiful that morning! I loved getting to know these two- watching Abey watch Rosa and seeing them laugh together was a treat. They both had such a calm about them that was so relaxing to be around. Congratulations you guys!

Abey + Rosa met while playing a game of softball, so I brought them to a baseball field to shoot a bit. Apparently, Rosa got hit in the head with the ball- talk about a damsel in distress story! (At least she was ok!)

Almost a year ago I got to shoot with Ryan and Tiffanie, and then they told me how badly they wanted a baby. It had been a matter of great patience and prayer for them- and sure enough, just a few months later they had some great news to share!

I got to visit baby Ryder and his awesome parents in the hospital just a couple of days after he was born. He was perfect from the get-go! This was his first "official" photoshoot, so I was really excited to try out a few things with this sweet one. This was Ryder's first time to be out in the open air (without the comfort of a carseat, blanket or Mommy and Daddy), and he loved it! Hope you enjoy the pictures!

I asked Tiffanie to bring some of Ryan's sweaters. The texture of the fabric looks so pretty against that baby soft skin, but I also love the sentiment it brings to the image.

Ryan is a drummer and custom made this snare drum himself. Love this!

Just in case the above image makes you nervous, here is the one shot just before it:

The image on the left was an in-betweener. Ryder was getting changed and we couldn't help but notice how cute he was just hanging out with his little shoes on!
